Telde is a municipality town on the east of Gran Canaria. It has about 100.000 inhabitants. It is located about 4 km from the coast, 16 km from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 10 km from the airport and 35 km from Maspalomas. Very good infrastructure. Sparsely  tourism.

The beaches nearby are:

Boca Barranco, Jinamar, El Barranquillo, San Borondon, Chica, La Garita, Pozuelo, El Hombre, Melenara, Salinetas, Agua Dulce, Tufia, Ojos de Garza. All at a distance of between 2 (La Garita) and 8 km (Ojos de Garza)

The municipality of Telde celebrates a series of festivities during the year. One of the most popular is "la traída de agua"  (the bringing of water), held in Lomo Magullo in August. Getting there

GC Highway 1, exit industrial area salinetas. From the south, about 5 km behind the airport, you see Ikea on the right side and from the north about 5 km behind the shopping area Las Terrazas, you will see Ikea on the left side.
